The PREDOR system has received GRADE 4 certification

We are especially proud, as PREDOR is the first Hungarian-developed access control system to receive the GRADE 4 certification, i.e. the highest security classification.

The PREDOR access control system has obtained the Security Grade 4 compliance certificate according to the EN 60839‑11‑1 standard, issued by the independent organization TREZOR TEST s.r.o., accredited by the Czech Accreditation Institute. The certification was carried out based on model 1a of the EN ISO/IEC 17067:2013 standard, and confirms that the system complies with the requirements of GRADE 4, as well as Environmental Classes I and II. This certification ensures that PREDOR can be reliably used even in the highest-risk projects and fully complies with European security standards.

What does GRADE 4 mean in practice?

The GRADE classification system precisely defines the level of protection required for a given facility. The highest category, GRADE 4, is specifically designed for strategically important, highly protected environments such as military facilities, government institutions, or research laboratories.

The EN 60839‑11‑1 standard defines four security levels, of which Level 4 represents the highest threat category. It requires a system capable of monitoring all its components—from identifiers to software—and ensuring that every element of the data path is resistant to external intrusion attempts.

International cooperation, integration

Our goal was to ensure that the Predor system represents the highest level of security while remaining easy to configure and flexible. To achieve this, we needed an innovative technology partner pioneering encryption protocols.

We are proud to be among the first in Europe to implement the deepest possible integration with the STid brand, a pioneer in encryption technologies. Using the SSCP (Smart & Secure Communication Protocol) developed by STid, the entire data line is protected by AES-128 encryption.

Some technical information about Predor’s protection capabilities

PREDOR’s GRADE 4 compliance means that all communication channels are encrypted—whether it is RS485‑SSCP communication between readers and controllers, or AES-128 encryption between controllers and the server—using unique keys for each. In terms of user identification, the system supports MIFARE® DESFire technology and two-factor authentication, while excluding weak identification methods such as EM 125 kHz cards or standalone PIN codes. In case of failed login attempts, the system automatically blocks the affected identifiers.

As part of protection against tampering and misuse, PREDOR detects sabotage attempts, supports duress signaling, logs events, and can display them on the facility map. Security scenarios can also be activated. Operational continuity is ensured by monitoring both primary and backup power supplies, guaranteeing at least four hours of operation in case of power failure, while logging all power-related events. For full supervision, PREDOR logs operator activities, enforces strong password usage, automatically logs out inactive users, and enables remote door control and time synchronization with an NTP server.

Customer experience

The Predor system has also achieved success at international exhibitions, and these achievements provide great momentum to our development team. We have numerous development ideas and are preparing many innovations for the next 12 months. In addition, we place strong emphasis on the continuous technological renewal of our system. One of the keys to our long-term success is that our customers can rely on the high level of expertise of our support team. Our goal is to provide the best possible customer experience.
